In Stitches

 Before I ran off to doggie sit I ran by the nursing home to see Daddio. One of the projects I packed to take with me on my doggiecation was his big bucket of paper pieces that I am putting together for a small lap quilt. He made the most perfect pieces and they are such a joy to work with.

I found him sitting at a table all alone in a common room with this in front of him. He was just sitting and looking at it which is pretty typical. When he saw me he was so happy to give it to me as he said had just finished it in a craft class. Queue tears and plenty of them. The old guy is still stitching, I think. I really don't know where it came from in truth but in his mind he made it for me and that's what counts. This little fella is going to live in my sewing box to remind me to....well, you fill in the blank. There's just so much....
