Morning Songs of Joy

This past week, the sun came up, and just as it hit the edge of the trees outside my kitchen window, I noticed that there were beautiful sunbeams streaming from the edges of the sun as it beamed through the night shadows.

As the sun begin to rise in the distance, the beams of light spread gently through the trees.

Annie came outside to watch the sunrise with me, although she was somewhat perplexed as to "what" I was watching, lol!

Ah!  So that's why you're standing out here in the 20 degree cold for?  ...  Just another sunrise?

I'm sure she felt like shaking her head... after all a sunrise is a sunrise, right?

So then Roger came to see what the fuss was about - and he felt quite perplexed as well...

Both dogs decided their time would be spent more wisely wrestling... so off they went to do their "doggy" thing....

But for me.... I was drinking in the dose of beautiful morning sunlight sprinkling the cold air ...

And praising the Lord for such a beautiful start to another day!

"Where morning dawns and evening fades, you call forth songs of joy."  Psalms 65:8 (NIV)
