Through The Garden Gate: April 2022

It's hard to believe how a month can change a garden so. Admittedly it has been very sunny. Within the last four weeks the flower beds have filled out with lush green leaves. Buds are bursting out everywhere and the soundtrack of birdsong has made the garden a delight to be in.

Yes there have been the usual garden issues. My newly planted spinach, kale and rocket all were nibbled one night. Was it Mr Rat? Was it birds? All a little frustrating. I don't use cloches but maybe I should, in the meantime I have rigged up string and silver foil streamers. So far, so good.

Not sure what is my favourite this month. The aquilegias are a delight. So too the purple honesty flowers, especially with sunlight through them. The acers in pots are doing really well too. It's hard to keep up with what has bloomed each day and lots more to come. The first school girl peach roses have opened and the choisya is looking spectacular.

As usual I am joining Sarah for her 'Through The Garden Gate'. Do click here to see more gardens.

I will try and reply to any comments but I am having huge issues at the moment and can only reply anonymously. When I comment on other blogs the same happens although I can see that others have no problems. I will make sure I add my full name and blog address when I do comment If I'm able. Has anyone else had problems, if so any suggestions?
