Macross 1/48 Yamato VF-1S Roy Focker + Strike / Super Parts

Just a short post of mine extra piece in flight mode before I sold it off at flea-market and Carousell. These are pics which I had taken for my Carousell listing and find them wasted if I don't post them on blog. As you can see, the yellowing areas had been rather obvious and its quite common for 1/48 scale Yamato VF-1S Roy Focker to turn yellowing despite the matte top coat treatment. I had previously added panel lines and applied stickers to the plane for more realism on display. I have used another set in better condition to take pics in Gerwalk and Battroid mode. One of my favourite piece in terms of size and transformation with the only complaint of those skinny hands. Probably on a look up for those third party optional hands, made closer to how it looks in the anime. Won't be easy to find since this set was released so many years back.

The Strike / Super Parts can be rather costly for a mere armour however the upgrade seems so essential for the overall beauty of the toy. Leg armors - arm armors with the micromissiles - boosters to attach to the backpack - 2 micromissile launchers to attach to the booster - 1 strike cannon - 2 nuclear missiles hold by two - 2 separate nuclear missiles - micromissiles in PVC plastic to put in the separate launchers - neck piece to help hold up the back pack in battroid mode. The boosters have iron pins to put them on the backpack and it's a tight fit. It's a pity sure awesome toy expired with yellowing. Goodbye Senpai Roy Focker...
