How did we get it? The representer of Travel Lemming send us a celebration of that amazing fact. "Just wanted to make sure you saw that GEORGIA was listed by Travel Lemming as one of the Top 30 Emerging Destinations for 2020!" There was a link of information, where was written "Judges' Choice Award - #1 Destination in Europe".
They describe how were winners packed: "Each year we ask governments and tourism boards to create nominations for the best trending travel destinations in their region, then we submit the nominees for a vote by our panels of judges, some of the best-traveled bloggers on the planet, and ask them which destinations appeal to them."
The destinations are for them who are tired from overtouristed places. And what about Georgia? "Possibly the world's greatest hidden travel gem, Georgia packs so many things to do inside a compact country." Georgia was mentioned as cheap alternative of Alps. I liked the phrase very much: "where else can you enjoy a European-style vacation on a South East Asian vacation budget?"
The comments were very nice - "Georgia has SO much to offer -- one of the funkiest capital cities around, gorgeous mountain scenery, and truly outstanding food and wine. All that and it's fantastic value for money. I fully expect Georgia to be one of the world's hottest destinations within a few years."
